Hello & Welcome!

My name is Monica Michelle Velasquez, and I was picked out of the small, strawberry town of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. I walked five feet away from home to attend Southeastern Louisiana University, and earned my fine arts bachelor’s degree, concentrating in graphic design in May 2013. Shortly after my graduation, I was hired as Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation’s graphic designer. There, I proudly serve Louisiana’s farmers and ranchers through design and minor photography.

After hours, I am an advocate for the graphic design community and pursuing side projects. I was always active in the community since college and going into the early stages of my career. I was always active in my university AIGA chapter and became a member of the Baton Rouge chapter of the American Advertising Federation. On top of that, you’ll always find me at local gatherings, whether it be a Dribbble meet-up or drink and draws.
