99th Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention
OVERVIEW
Evolve the graphics package for the Louisiana Farm Bureau Annual Convention from 2019. This graphics package will be using the system from the 96th Annual Convention to 99th Annual Convention. The graphics package must translate to digital media including social media and web. Read more about the design system here.
THE CHALLENGE
Creating a flexible graphics package for our annual convention with graphics input from our administration.
CONVENTION LOGO, FONTS & COLORS
This design system was established in 2018, and will continue through the 99th Annual Convention in 2021. Read more about the branding system here.
CHANGES FROM 2019
Since there were no graphics changes in 2020, I worked off the 2019 graphics package. The Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation and Louisiana Farm Bureau Insurance companies were in the process of completing a new state office building, which was projected to be completed in Spring 2022. The administration wanted the new building to be incorporated into the current cityscape, announcing the new building to the state membership.
I used render art provided by the architects working on the building to create the sketch above. I wanted the new building to match the style I previously established in the previous graphics packages, so I made it as flat as possible. I wanted the building to be the focus, and incorporate the Louisiana Farm Bureau colors. So I made the building Farm Bureau maroon (PMS 202) and gold, and kept the metal beams grey. The client requested adding a sign at the bottom right corner.
Convention was a hybrid event with some in-person events and some virtual events. Since our in-person events were held at various locations across the state, the New Orleans buildings from the previous package needed to be removed. However, the commodity cityscape could remain, but the outer buildings needed to be removed.
Youth Contest Brochure
This project normally begins the fall before the annual convention, but due to the COVID19 Pandemic we worked close to the event, to make sure all information was accurate to state gathering restrictions. This brochure is normally printed and distributed at the grassroots, but this was a digital only brochure for parishes and contestants to print on their own. We also featured a webpage for each contest, which you will see below.

Young Farmers & Ranchers Event Livestream Covers and Thumbnail Examples
Since the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Rancher's Committee did not hold any in-person events, we do not have winner photos from those contests. On top of that, not all contests were held in 2020. So I created this collage below of past winners of each contest. The gradient was used, so the graphics would standout on a social media feed, since that was our primary way of getting information out to our membership.

Youth Contest Event Livestream Covers and Thumbnail Examples
Since the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Women's Leadership Committee did not hold any youth contest events, we do not have winner photos from those contests, and the client didn't want to use 2019 youth contest winners. So I used the same collage system I created for the Young Farmers and Ranchers contests. I changed the gradient colors used, so the graphics would standout on a social media feed.
Farm Bureau Awards Livestream Cover and Thumbnail
The photo used was from the 97th Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention, using the winning parish photo from that year. The 2020 Louisiana Farm Bureau Award program was a virtual event, using graphics below to announce winners of all of our contests. The slides either used the convention graphic created, or used photography taken at the in-person events.

2020 President's Award Slide
The 2021 Louisiana Farm Bureau Awards was a virtual event, so we could not present the award in-person. Since I completed the artwork for the award before the virtual event, I created this slide, using assets from the award art. And since we did not have a 2020 Louisiana Farm Bureau Awards, we announced the 2020 winning parish in the 2021 Awards presentation.

The 2021 Louisiana Farm Bureau Awards was a virtual event, so we could not present the award in-person. Since I completed the artwork for the award before the virtual event, I created this slide, using assets from the award art.
Website
I created a convention website promoting convention forms, schedule and highlights using Squarespace, using the Basil template. The website features our main convention graphics, an upcoming livestream link for our virtual events, the convention schedule, video and new release highlights and links to the convention photo album.

Youth Contest Pages
Since our youth contests had to be flexible to Louisiana gathering restrictions, due to COVID19, we wanted to create webpages for each of the youth contest to have the latest information available to the grassroots members. The webpage features headers with photos from the previous events, and links to the application and the printable contest flyer. The information on each webpage matches the printable flyer created.
