North Oaks Health System 65th Anniversary
OVERVIEW
Creating a design system celebrating the 65th Anniversary of North Oaks Health System. This system utilizes the North Oaks brand system, while incorporating a celebratory element through graphics and AI-edited photography.
THE CHALLENGE
Having designed anniversary logos for the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation, I wanted to bring that expertise to North Oaks Health System while remaining faithful to its established brand. The challenge was to create a 65th anniversary logo that could seamlessly integrate with the existing health system identity, while also standing out as a commemorative mark. The logo needed to be versatile and interchangeable with the primary brand mark, ensuring consistency across all non-evergreen collateral throughout the anniversary year.
THE SOLUTION
To celebrate the sapphire anniversary of North Oaks Health System, the design highlights the legacy of the iconic gold North Oaks leaf, a mark recognized by the community for over 65 years. The anniversary logo re-centers this legacy by pairing the leaf with a bold “65” and a supporting “years,” giving equal emphasis to both the milestone and the symbol that has represented the health system since its founding.
Recognizing the need for flexibility across digital, environmental, and print applications, three logo variations were developed: primary, extended, and condensed. The primary logo unites the North Oaks leaf with “65 years,” serving as the central expression of the anniversary brand system. The extended logo incorporates the stacked North Oaks wordmark for use in out-of-market materials where brand recognition may be lower. The condensed logo distills the design to its strongest visual elements, the leaf and “65”, making it ideal for mobile and social platforms.
This adaptive system ensures that the anniversary identity is both instantly recognizable and contextually appropriate, preserving the heritage of North Oaks while celebrating its 65 years of service to the community.
