Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Centennial Book
OVERVIEW
Design a book reflecting the 100 years of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation while applying the Centennial Celebration brand system.
THE CHALLENGE
This history book of the Louisiana Farm Bureau looks back at the 100 years of the organization. While our internal archives had a wealth of images, we didn’t have a lot of information to reference in the first 40 years. The other challenge was to apply the Centennial Celebration event branding package, as this was a giveaway for our attendees.
THE SOLUTION
Building on the brand system developed for the Centennial Celebration event, we designed a book that thoughtfully blends archival black-and-white images with contemporary photography. A palette of gold, black, and gray established hierarchy and complemented the use of sweeping full-page visuals alongside smaller newspaper scans. To reinforce the narrative, each spread features a timeline at the top, with the current era highlighted in gold. At the request of the research team, we emphasized imagery over text, keeping copy minimal so the photographs could tell the story of the organization’s history. To promote the book, we created branded mockups of spreads and imagery aligned with the Centennial Celebration identity.
